Who is Sister Dandy?

Sister Dandy’s Designer Mike began his artistic journey by creating jewelry designs in 2003. After exploring Celtic and Art Nouveau wedding jewelry designs (which have separate stores on Etsy) he began collecting vintage spoons and Art Nouveau items in 2009 and soon after Sister Dandy was born. As the Etsy store began to grow so did Mike’s team. The new team includes his business partner Melody who excels in making spoon rings and other jewelry pieces and handles operations, and customer service. Chani handles Photography for jewelry pieces, and Sara assists with store listings, customer service, and shipping. Sister Dandy focuses on captivating Mike’s passion for organic designs and vintage discoveries which can be difficult to convey in other jewelry motifs.

We have collected not only a variety of styles spanning the eras of vintage silver (from the mid-1800s Edwardian period up to the 1960s and ’70s), but also a panoply of designs that represents unique and distinct styles from throughout the world. In our store, you will find not only common and rare American patterns from the early 1900s, but also designs from throughout Europe (especially Scandinavian, English, and French), Asia (Chinese & Japanese), and even some from Africa, Australia, and South America. Our store is meant to be a celebration of the multiplicity of the breadth of theme and design motifs and will reinvent once obscure and unusual designs that sat in a drawer (sometimes for over a century) into detailed, unique, and affordable heirloom quality jewelry.

Please browse our inventory to see our current offerings, and feel free to message us if there’s a particular design or theme you’re interested in. While we do not create custom orders, we pride ourselves on being able to find unusual, rare, or just plain weird pieces and designs. It’s a joy to be able to share our excitement and passion with you in a way that you can wear and appreciate for years to come!
